News about Clubs
The long-awaited FREE Youth Club for the young disabled
(16-25 years old) is due to open in Chichester this May (2010).
This project has been made possible through generous donations and the support of the Special Needs Department
at Chichester College.
The Club will meet every Tuesday and Thursday in the Special Needs Suite at Chichester College from 4p.m. to 7 p.m. The aim is to host activities that young people are interested in and to encourage these interests and their involvement. These activities will include a variety of sports, music and art. It is hoped that in time the Club will become self-governing.
Christina Bassadone is temporary Project Leader until someone permanent can be found for this position. We also need to recruit a number of volunteers to help in the running of the Club.
